Morva Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Machinist on behalf of an innovative and world-class engineering business in Cornwall. This is a rare opportunity to join an incredible company working at the forefront of precision engineering, producing components that play a vital role in projects for industries including space, defence, military, and advanced research. You’ll be part of a highly skilled team, machining low volume, high precision components to the highest standards — all whilst enjoying a 4-day working week (Monday to Thursday). Key Responsibilities * Set up and operate manual milling and turning machines * Create, load, examine, and modify CNC programmes * Set up tools and load materials onto CNC machines * Machine precision components to fine tolerances * Carry out inspections, including first-off checks (CMM experience desirable) * Suggest improvements to tooling and manufacturing methods * Interpret engineering drawings and highlight improvements or errors * Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment Person Specification * Time-served apprenticeship (or equivalent experience) * Skilled in CNC and manual milling and turning * Experience working to fine tolerances (20 microns) with non-ferrous materials * CNC setter/operator with CAD/CAM programming experience * Able to interpret engineering drawings and use a wide variety of measuring equipment * Self-motivated, detail-focused, and able to work independently * Flexible, professional, and team-oriented * Eligible to work in the UK Desirable: Experience with FANUC, Mazatrol, and EdgeCAM (training can be provided).
