Morva Recruitment are excited to be supporting a developing and ambitious building services consultancy with a strong pipeline of projects secured into 2026. They are seeking Mechanical Design Engineers at all levels – from Design Engineer through to Associate – to join their passionate and growing team. This role is ideal for those with hands-on M&E experience, whether through trades, project management, or design. The business values real knowledge of building services systems, regulations, quality, and client delivery. If you have that foundation, they can help train and develop the design skills you need – though at Senior/Associate level you will already be expected to lead on mechanical design delivery across M&E projects. Key Responsibilities * Producing and developing detailed mechanical building services designs, drawings, and specifications * Carrying out calculations using industry-standard software and by hand where required * Preparing technical reports, presentations, and tender documentation * Ensuring compliance with UK regulations, CIBSE guidelines, and British Standards * Working with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver coordinated solutions * Supporting and mentoring junior engineers where appropriate What We’re Looking For * Proven experience in mechanical building services design OR strong trade/management background with knowledge of HVAC and building systems * Experience with heating, cooling, public health, and related systems * Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and guidance * Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications * Excellent attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills * Must be able to work from the office full time if required (with hybrid and flexible working provided) * No sponsorship available – applicants must have the right to work in the UK What’s on Offer * Competitive salary, bonuses, and benefits package * Annual bonus every January * Two additional wellbeing days per year * Opportunity to work on a wide variety of exciting projects * Hybrid and flexible working arrangements * Ongoing training and development opportunities * Career progression from Design Engineer through to Associate level * Be part of a supportive, ambitious, and innovative company To apply, please send your CV to Morva Recruitment
