Morva Recruitment are excited to be supporting a growing building services consultancy who are seeking an experienced M&E Design Manager to lead their small but ambitious design team. With a healthy pipeline of projects secured well into 2026 across multiple sectors – including healthcare, nuclear, rail, industrial, commercial and residential – this is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in the business as it continues its rapid growth. We are looking for a well-rounded leader with strong experience in both mechanical and electrical building services. You will combine technical expertise with the ability to manage people, projects, clients, and quality delivery. Key Responsibilities * Leading, managing, and mentoring a small M&E design team * Overseeing the production of mechanical and electrical design outputs across multiple projects * Ensuring compliance with UK building regulations, CIBSE guidelines, and British Standards * Driving quality, risk management, and client-focused delivery * Coordinating with architects, contractors, and other consultants to deliver integrated solutions * Supporting business growth by developing processes, workflows, and team capability What We’re Looking For * Significant experience in M&E building services design, ideally across a wide range of sectors * Strong leadership and team management skills * Excellent understanding of UK regulations, risk management, and quality assurance * Ability to interpret and review both mechanical and electrical design work * Strong communication and client-facing ability * Must be able to work from the office full time (with hybrid and flexible working provided) * No sponsorship available – applicants must have the right to work in the UK Desirable: MOD/MOJ project experience, familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, IES, Dialux, or other industry-standard software.
