An established and growing marine and civil engineering contractor is seeking a Marine Project Engineer / Civils Project Engineer / Site Engineer to support front-end, land-based works on major marine and offshore projects. While projects involve jack-up barges and marine operations, this role will be primarily site-based on land, supporting enabling works, lifting operations and coordination of offshore activities. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in heavy civils, infrastructure, marine or offshore projects, particularly those looking to gain exposure to marine works without being fully offshore.
Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of marine and civil engineering projects (land-based/front-end works)
- Coordinate and oversee lifting operations and lift plans
- Interface with offshore teams, marine crews and barge operations
- Manage site engineering duties including setting out, QA and documentation
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, RAMS and project specifications
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams
- Support project planning, reporting and programme delivery
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to quality standards
Requirements
- Experience in heavy civils, infrastructure, marine or offshore environments
- Strong understanding of lifting operations, crane lifts and lift planning
- Background as a Project Engineer, Site Engineer or Civil Engineer
- Experience on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
- Ability to work rotational site-based shifts
- Strong communication and organisational skills
