We are currently recruiting for a Dispatch Operative to join a busy manufacturing and production team.
Reporting to the Dispatch Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring products are prepared, packed and dispatched efficiently while supporting the movement of materials across the site.
You'll work closely with production, logistics and project teams to help meet customer delivery deadlines and maintain accurate stock records.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate the dispatch of finished goods to meet customer requirements.
- Work closely with the Dispatch Supervisor, Production and Workshop teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Pack products securely for transportation.
- Load finished goods onto transport vehicles.
- Load and unload deliveries using the appropriate materials handling equipment.
- Move materials safely around the site.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly stock takes.
- Maintain accurate records of stock and material movements using the company's internal system.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure delivery schedules are achieved.
- Follow company procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
- Keep the dispatch and storage areas clean, organised and free from hazards.
- Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by the Dispatch Supervisor.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have
- A current, valid licence/certification to operate material handling equipment (e. g. forklift).
- Previous experience within a dispatch, warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to health and safety.
- The ability to complete tasks efficiently and ensure stock movements are accurately recorded.
