The role involves taking ownership of accurate financial record keeping, ensuring income and expenditure is tracked correctly and reported effectively. You’ll support budgeting, audits, and statutory requirements, helping project leads understand financial performance and make informed decisions. Experience within the charity sector or an accountancy environment would be ideal, and confidence working independently is key.
Key responsibilities include:- Updating bookkeeping systems and maintaining accurate ledgers
- Processing invoices, payments, VAT returns and Gift Aid
- Producing monthly financial reports
- Managing restricted funds and supporting grant reporting
- Partnering with fundraising and operational teams
- Preparing for audits and year-end reporting
- Supporting budget preparation and monitoring
What’s on offer:
- 30 hours per week with just one day in the Newquay office
- £29,000 – £32,000 FTE
- Hybrid working and flexibility
