About the Company: Morva recruitment is working with a leading groundworks specialist with a reputation for excellence in the residential sector. Following a period of significant growth, we are looking for a highly experienced Contracts Manager to oversee our operations across Devon and Somerset.
The Role: This is a pivotal role managing approximately 8–9 active residential groundworks sites. You will act as the primary link between our site teams and our clients, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, profitably, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple residential sites, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Manage and mentor Site Managers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Take full commercial responsibility for projects, including budget management and cost control.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with major housing developers/clients.
- Lead Health & Safety compliance across your entire regional portfolio.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the Groundworks or Civil Engineering sector is essential.
- Portfolio: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously (ideally 6+).
- Sector Knowledge: Deep understanding of residential groundworks and infrastructure.
- Qualifications: Relevant high-level H&S qualifications (SMSTS) and CSCS Black Card.
- Skills: Strong commercial acumen, exceptional leadership, and a full UK driving license.
