Purpose of the role
As a growing company in the life sciences sector, we have a global audience of potential clients who are yet to discover our innovative services. To help expand our reach and strengthen our market presence, we’re looking for a Sales and Marketing Associate with a background in life sciences to drive new business development and support marketing initiatives. This role offers an excellent entry point into the commercial world for a recent science graduate who is passionate about healthcare and interested in building a career in sales and marketing.
Business Development Responsibilities:
- Identify and research new high-potential companies, including biotechs, medical device companies, universities, and early-stage spinouts.
- Build and maintain a robust CRM database with up-to-date information on contacts, accounts, deals, and more.
- Enroll qualified contacts into personalized outreach sequences and nurture them through the sales funnel.
- Conduct multichannel outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn to engage potential clients and generate leads.
- Contribute creative ideas to support content development for the BD manager’s LinkedIn presence.
- Help document internal sales processes and think proactively about ways to improve or automate workflows.
- Apply our proven outreach process to explore and open new markets, including medical devices and academia.
Marketing Responsibilities:
- Assist in generating engaging content for use across LinkedIn, email campaigns, and blogs.
- Repurpose existing content for new channels and audiences, ensuring consistency in messaging.
- Create infographics and visuals using tools like Canva to support content.
- Research PR and advertising opportunities to expand the company’s visibility in the life sciences space.
- Investigate relevant events and speaking opportunities for in-person promotion and networking.
- Support the implementation and automation of marketing workflows for increased efficiency including:
- Writing up marketing process documents (SOPs and Work Instructions)
- Creating templates
- Identifying and implementing automation and AI strategies to improve the efficiency of our marketing
