To carry out the administration process for unsecured and secured debt recovery. Full office based role; requires attendance in the office five days per week.

Key Tasks

  • Ensuring all incoming calls are answered within an acceptable time and enquiries dealt with to pass on.
  • Dealing with conflict checks from the YK team and from MFMac.
  • Reviewing client instructions and opening cases, issuing Letters before Action and liaising with clients and debtors regarding process and progress.
  • Printing and collating outgoing mails, including assembling services, completing proofs of posting, updating cases and ensuring inbound mail is checked, scanned to the case handler with any cheques passed to the Finance Team.
  • Taking debtor payments over the phone in compliance with internal procedures.
  • Raising straightforward court actions and processing decisions/decrees as required.
  • Retrieving timetables from Civil Online, updating the case management system, preparing necessary court forms for service, downloading decisions from Civil Online and updating the case management system.
  • Carrying out other associated admin duties such as scanning, filing and photocopying.
  • Processing web contacts for distribution.
  • Supporting other team members with their matters.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least one year's experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience in a legal environment desirable but not essential.
  • Paralegal work experience desirable but not essential.
