The Opportunity
At MFB we’ve been helping landlords secure the right buy-to-let mortgage since 1990. Our reputation is built on expert advice, genuine relationships, and a seamless client experience — and our Paraplanners are central to all three.
This role is about two things: keeping cases moving and keeping clients delighted. You’ll work alongside a Mortgage Consultant, taking full ownership of the application journey from DIP to completion. You’ll be organised, proactive, and the kind of person who treats every client as their most important one.
What You’ll Do
- Own the application process end-to-end — from completing DIPs and gathering documents through to liaising with lenders and solicitors all the way to completion.
- Be the face of MFB to our clients: a key point of contact at all times, keeping them informed, reassured, and never left wondering what’s happening with their case.
- Respond to every client quickly and accurately — no exceptions.
- Issue suitability letters, update the CRM, and submit cases to lenders — accurately, compliantly, and without delay.
- Spot issues early, escalate where needed, and keep cases on track.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- CeMAP 1 qualified as a minimum — with a real commitment to completing all three modules.
- Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple live cases without losing the detail.
- A natural communicator who makes clients feel genuinely looked after.
- Proactive, efficient, and solutions-focused — you get things done.
Desirable:
- Experience in mortgage processing, paraplanning, or buy-to-let lending.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and working within FCA-regulated processes.
- No mortgage background? If you’re exceptionally organised, client-focused, and a fast learner, we want to hear from you.
