Permanent, Full-time Hybrid between our Derby office and working from home. Up to £80,000 plus benefits.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Lead People & Culture Business Partner to play a critical role in shaping how Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) grows and evolves as a high performing business. This is a senior, strategic HR leadership role, partnering with Executive and Senior Leaders to translate business strategy into impactful people plans. You’ll lead a team of 4 People & Culture Business Partners, ensuring we deliver a consistent, high-quality partnering approach that drives organisational effectiveness, capability and culture. You’ll balance long‑term strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery, acting as a trusted advisor during periods of change and transformation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Executive and Senior Leadership teams
  • Translate business priorities into clear, actionable people and organisational plans
  • Partner with one of our Executives to support their business area
  • Use insight, data and external thinking to influence strategic decisions
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of People & Culture Business Partners through clear expectations, priorities and standards
  • Build capability within the team, role‑modeling what great looks like as part of a business partner model
  • Work stronger together to enable collaboration across People & Culture teams
  • Diagnose organisational challenges and identify pragmatic solutions
  • Lead organisational design, workforce planning and capability interventions across MAB
  • Partner with Leaders to improve leadership effectiveness and team performance
  • Lead the people agenda across major change programmes
  • Support Leaders through transformation and cultural change, encouraging them to engage people and build capability

About You

You’ll be a highly credible HR leader who thrives in a complex, evolving commercial environment.

You’ll Bring

  • Significant experience in senior HR Business Partnering roles within commercial environments
  • Proven track record of leading and developing HRBP teams
  • Strong strategic capability with the ability to turn strategy into action
  • Experience partnering with senior and executive stakeholders
  • Deep expertise in organisational design, talent strategy and change leadership
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations and employment law
  • A data‑led mindset, using insight to drive decisions and outcomes
  • Experience operating in matrixed or multi‑site organisations would be desirable
  • Experience operating in a Group or FTSE organisation would be desirable
