Overview
Permanent, Full-time (Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours). Hybrid - 3 days at our Derby office, 2 days working from home. Up to £55,000 plus benefits.
About the Role
Are you a fully qualified accountant who’s looking for the chance to step up, shape processes and make a real impact in a growing organisation? We’re looking for a proactive, improvement‑driven Management Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in delivering high‑quality financial reporting across the group. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, embraces change, challenges the status quo and drives efficiencies with plenty of scope to grow and develop with us.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Producing timely, accurate monthly management accounts for the core business
- Owning key P&L and balance sheet areas and maintaining strong financial controls
- Performing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
- Enhancing and streamlining month‑end processes, ensuring consistency and compliant ways of working
- Supporting SOX compliance and ensuring controls are documented and tested
- Partnering with Finance Business Partners to provide meaningful analysis and commentary
- Coaching and supporting junior members of the finance team
- Contributing to the optimisation and standardisation of NetSuite across the group
About You
- Fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA essential)
- Experienced in either practice or industry (practice background desirable but not essential)
- Confident with data and comfortable using Excel
- A natural problem–solver with a continuous improvement mindset
- Curious, proactive and eager to challenge existing processes
- Keen to progress with ambitious career goals
- Able to set high standards, support and mentor the development of more junior team members
- Confident with ERP systems – NetSuite experience is a bonus
