Permanent, Full-time, 37.5hrs per week, Hybrid (home + bi‑weekly travel to Derby office). £40,000‑£50,000 + Benefits – We’re looking for a compliance professional to join our Compliance team, ensuring systems, processes and procedures deliver customer outcomes and meet regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing (and Owning)

  • Drafting, reviewing and maintaining FCA‑friendly policies.
  • Managing SM&CR administration – applications, MI and audit‑ready records.
  • Keeping our regulatory reporting schedule on point.
  • Supporting Consumer Duty compliance with outcome‑focused MI.
  • Horizon scanning for regulatory changes – early warning system.
  • Ensuring never miss a beat in regulatory and policy compliance within the sector.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in Compliance Management, Policy Writing or a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of SM&CR, PROD, MCOB, ICOBS.
  • Mortgage Advice, Supervision or Policy Writing experience in Mortgage, PMI, Protection or Equity Release – very useful.
  • Sharp attention to detail and critical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to write policies and reports that non‑compliance colleagues can understand.
  • Organised, adaptable and able to juggle multiple priorities without breaking a sweat.
  • CeMAP qualified candidates are encouraged.

Recruitment Process

  • 1st stage – MS Teams interview with our Hiring Manager.
  • 2nd stage – Interview in person at our Derby office with the hiring team.
