Salary: £28,000-£33,000, depending on experience, plus commission

The opportunity

The Mortgage Cube is looking for an ambitious Mortgage Adviser or Mortgage & Protection Adviser to join its friendly and growing team in Paignton.

Established in 2020, the business has developed a strong client bank and a consistent flow of new enquiries. The successful adviser will benefit from existing clients, inbound enquiries and estate agency referrals, while also having the opportunity to develop their own relationships and generate new business.

This position could suit either a CeMAP-qualified trainee looking to achieve Competent Adviser Status or an experienced adviser seeking their next opportunity.

An employed arrangement is preferred, although self-employed applicants will also be considered. There may also be an opportunity to begin on an employed basis before moving to self-employed terms once a strong pipeline has been established.

Key responsibilities

• Providing suitable mortgage advice to new and existing clients
• Advising on appropriate protection products, where qualified
• Managing mortgage applications from initial consultation through to completion
• Following up inbound enquiries and supplied business opportunities
• Developing long-term relationships with clients and professional introducers
• Proactively generating new business and growing a personal client bank
• Maintaining accurate records and meeting all compliance requirements
• Delivering excellent service throughout the customer journey
• Identifying opportunities for referrals and repeat business

We would like to hear from candidates who:

• Hold CeMAP or an equivalent recognised mortgage qualification
• Are either newly qualified or have previous mortgage advice experience
• Are confident communicating with clients and building relationships
• Have a proactive approach to developing new business
• Can manage a busy pipeline effectively
• Are organised, motivated and customer-focused
• Enjoy working as part of a close-knit office team
• Have protection experience or are interested in developing this area

Experienced mortgage-only advisers will also be considered.
