Morson Vital have an exciting opportunity to work with a leading European supplier of temporary access solutions, providing portable roadways, walkways, ground protection systems, and rapid rail access points to some of the UK's largest infrastructure, utilities, and construction projects. We're looking for an experienced Senior Lead Driver & Operative (Class 1) to join their Operations Team. This is far more than a driving role; you'll be responsible for delivering, installing, and recovering specialist access equipment using HIAB-equipped 44t rigid and drawbar vehicles, while leading and supporting site teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Operating HIAB-mounted cranes to load, unload, and install temporary access solutions on customer sites
  • Leading and supervising Portable Roadway Operatives during installations and recoveries
  • Acting as the main point of contact on site, working closely with customers, project coordinators, and internal teams
  • Conducting site-specific risk assessments and ensuring compliance with RAMS and health & safety procedures
  • Planning workloads, coordinating logistics, and adapting to changing site conditions and customer requirements
  • Providing technical guidance to customers on the best access solutions for their project needs
  • Supporting the training and development of new team members and helping maintain high operational standards

What We're Looking For:

  • Class 1 (C+E) Licence
  • HIAB / Lorry Loader Crane experience
  • Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
  • Strong understanding of lifting operations and site safety
  • Leadership skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Flexibility to work away from home, with frequent overnight stays and occasional weekend work
