We are seeking experienced Class 1 Drivers to join a growing operations team delivering and installing specialist access equipment across a range of infrastructure, construction, utilities, and rail projects. This is a hands-on role combining driving, site operations, customer liaison, and team leadership. You will be responsible for transporting, installing, and recovering equipment using HIAB-equipped vehicles, while supervising operatives and ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Class 1 vehicles fitted with HIAB cranes.
  • Lead and supervise operatives on site.
  • Deliver, install, and recover specialist equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Liaise with customers and site teams to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Conduct site risk assessments and follow RAMS procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with Driver CPC, tachograph, and working time regulations.
  • Carry out daily vehicle, lifting equipment, and asset inspections.
  • Support the training and development of new team members.

Requirements

  • Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.
  • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • HIAB or equivalent truck-mounted crane experience.
  • Strong understanding of lifting operations and site safety procedures.

  • Flexible approach to working hours, including overnight stays and occasional weekends.
