Morson Vital have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Access Planner who has really strong experience with PPS and NROL. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of NW&C routes.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Rail Access Planner with strong knowledge of Possession Planning System (PPS) and the Network Rail Online Logistics (NROL) system to join our growing rail operations team. This is a critical role responsible for planning and securing safe, efficient access to the rail network for maintenance, renewals, and project works.
Key Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Plan and manage rail access requirements in line with industry standards and project timelines
- Produce and submit possession and worksite requests using PPS
- Coordinate logistics and resource planning via NROL
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, and Network Rail to ensure seamless access delivery
- Review Weekly Operating Notices (WON), Periodical Operating Notices (PON), and other operational publications
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Rail Access Planner or similar role within the rail industry
- Strong working knowledge of PPS and NROL systems
- Solid understanding of Network Rail standards, rules, and access planning processes
- Experience in coordinating possessions, isolations, and line blockages
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
