Morson Edge are recruiting for a
Stores Assistant to support operations at
RAF Shawbury.
This opportunity would suit candidates with experience as a
Stores Assistant, Warehouse Operative, Stores Operative, Logistics Operative, Materials Handler, Warehouse Assistant or Stock Controller, particularly those from industrial, manufacturing, automotive or aviation backgrounds.
Previous experience is preferred, but
entry-level candidates with strong organisational skills are also encouraged to apply.
Working within a busy Stores environment, you'll support the handling and organisation of equipment and materials, ensuring items are accounted for, correctly managed and available when required.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of the Stores facility
- Handling, moving and organising materials and equipment
- Maintaining accurate tool and equipment accountability
- Following safety procedures and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) control requirements
- Supporting engineers, Stores personnel and supervisors with material requirements
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
You’ll need good communication skills, strong attention to detail and a reliable, organised approach to work. The role involves regular standing, walking, bending and lifting items weighing up to
23kg, so candidates must be comfortable with the physical demands.
Location: RAF Shawbury
Duration: 6 months, likely to be extended
Shift: 7 days on / 7 days off, 11-hour shifts
