Job Title: Test Equipment Calibration Technician (933) Location: Cranfield Pay: £19.00 per hour We are recruiting a Test Equipment Calibration Technician to join a globally recognised automotive company based in Cranfield. This is a long-term contract role, with the potential to last for several years. Key Responsibilities: • Manage automotive R&D test equipment used for the testing and development of prototype motor vehicles at the R&D facility. • Oversee external supplier-accredited calibrations. • Conduct traceable in-house calibrations with a focus on working towards UKAS accreditation / ISO17025 quality systems. • Prepare calibration and test certificates, ensuring quality assurance. • Perform instrument fault diagnosis and minor repairs. • Advise internal customers on instrument use, repair, and replacements. • Carry out internal audits to ensure compliance with calibration standards and equipment control. • Ensure efficient and effective performance of the daily laboratory workload within agreed turnaround times, adhering to both technical standards and internal quality standards. • Assist team members with troubleshooting equipment problems. • Review and approve certification and calculations completed by other team members. • Update calibration procedures and uncertainty budgets. • Compile and report team KPIs, providing feedback to management on su…
