Overview of department: This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Test Development Engineer, specialising in circuit card electronic test, to join our Test Equipment Design team. It is an exciting time as we begin work on a host of challenging, but rewarding projects, from concept design through to series production and full in-service support. Working in an established team as a Test Development Engineer you will be creating and maintaining small to medium-sized automated test systems. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the development and implementation of test strategies and, where appropriate, influencing our product through ‘Design for Test\’. This involves creating test strategy documents, designing Interchangeable Test Adaptors (including both mechanical and electrical elements), and software development of automated test sequences in accordance with a test specification. You will also have the opportunity to get involved with continuous improvement activities and the development of new technologies. Skillset required: • Understand and interpret technical requirements and drawings in order to develop automated test facilities and procedures to support production operations. • Contemporary working knowledge of electronics • Understanding of modern test techniques/methodologies (ICT, Functional Test, Boundary Scan) • Measurement system(s) design (applicability of instrument, power distribution/grounding, etc) • Strong analytical and problem solving Skills • Significant knowledge creating Automated Test Equipment • NI LabVIEW and/or TestStand preferable • Boundary Scan / XJtag preferable JBRP1_UKTJ
