Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to join our Technical Design Authority team. The successful candidate will have over 5 years of experience in designing, deploying, and supporting innovative solutions. This role involves delivering high-level and low-level designs, generating Bills of Materials, and supporting testing and migration activities. The position requires facilitating knowledge transfer sessions for engineering teams and ensuring solutions adhere to safety-by-design principles. Key Deliverables Collaborate with the Technical Design Authority to deliver and support solutions for business transitions, transformations, and BAU activities. Lead infrastructure scoping and requirements workshops with customers and stakeholders. Develop technical requirements documentation based on customer specifications. Support product and application selection processes and architecture development. Manage technical engagement with third-party suppliers, including technical compliance and inter-dependencies. Generate and maintain Bills of Materials for design solutions. Produce comprehensive high-level and low-level design documentation. Take end-to-end responsibility for solution specification, design, configuration, and deployment, including all supporting documentation. Lead technical workshops and produce high-end documentation for infrastructure solutions. Mentor and support network engineers to enhance technical capabilities. Assist in refining and standardising design templates. Build workflow efficiencies focusing on automation and standardisation. Lead technical training sessions and provide guidance on solutions. Develop technical roadmaps to achieve long-term goals and mitigate obsolescence risks. Key Responsibilities Develop tailored solutions that meet business, technical, and customer requirements. Lead customer engagement sessions during the design phase. Design and deliver solutions aligned with vendor and industry best practices. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to procure cost-effective solutions. Ensure adherence to project lifecycle processes and present solutions at technical review boards. Provide accurate timescales and effort estimates for project tasks. Oversee design handovers to engineering teams, supporting deployments as necessary. Collaborate with engineering teams to test and implement projects. Plan and manage continuous improvement initiatives using best practices. Implement process improvements to enhance standardisation and efficiency. Required Skills & Qualifications Essential: Professional certifications in Juniper, Cisco, or HP Aruba networking. Proficiency in automation and scripting techniques. Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Proven ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines. Experience delivering within a similar technical environment.
