OVERVIEW

The Support Equipment Field Service Representative (SE FSR) acts as the primary point of contact for all F-35 Support Equipment (SE) technical issues, data management and logistics support for the UK Lightning Force. The role works closely with the UK Lightning Delivery Team (LDT), Support Equipment Controlling Authority (SECA), and the F-35 SE Engineering Authority to ensure all equipment delivered into UK custody complies with UK policies and regulations, and remains safe, serviceable and operationally ready to support frontline commitments. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise, coordination and field support across all aspects of F-35 Support Equipment operations, maintenance and sustainment activities.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all UK F-35 Support Equipment technical, logistics and data-related issues.
  • Coordinate with Fort Worth-based SE Item Managers, Engineering Teams and SE Leadership to resolve equipment issues effectively.
  • Facilitate up-line reporting of SE status to maintain an accurate global Support Equipment picture.
  • Liaise with site leads and engineering personnel to ensure clear communication of ongoing technical and operational issues.
  • Provide familiarisation and technical training to operators and engineering staff.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers in the preparation and submission of SE-related Action Requests (ARs).
  • Facilitate the receipt, tracking and management of hardware and technical data associated with SE deliveries.
  • Deliver direct technical support, functional demonstrations and engineering reach-back support from the SE sustainment engineering team when required.
  • Support Support Equipment calibration activities and compliance requirements.
  • Support ITC Support Equipment course delivery and development activities.
  • Facilitate calibration activities for F-35 Support Equipment supporting the QECCs.
  • Coordinate and facilitate off-base repairs for F-35 Support Equipment.
  • Maintain effective stakeholder relationships across military, engineering and logistics functions.

  • Supporting compliance with Company Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Knowledge

  • RAF Trade Group 5 background or equivalent military aviation engineering experience.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Problem-solving and analytical capability.
  • Ability to deliver technical guidance and familiarisation training.
  • Strong organisational and reporting skills.

Qualifications

  • Engineering qualification desirable.
  • Relevant aerospace, military aviation or support equipment experience preferred.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience supporting military fast jet operations.
  • Familiarity with F-35 Support Equipment and sustainment activities.
  • Experience within logistics, engineering support or calibration environments.
  • Knowledge of UK MOD policies and aviation safety requirements.
