Scottish Power Renewables are looking for a Civil Project Manager to join their EA2 project based on their Leiston site. This will be full time Mon - Fri site based.

Position: ONSS Civil Project Manager

Business: Scottish Power Renewables

Duration: Initial contract until 31st Dec 2026 with renewal in line with the project

Working Location: Leiston Onshore Site, IP16 4TF (occasional Visits to Glasgow / London offices)

Rate: Inside IR35, Umbrella and PAYE options available

Main Purpose of Job: To work within the Onshore Works Department to deliver the Civil construction works for major electrical transmission projects (mainly windfarms, 400kV / 275kV) to SPR safety, quality and environmental standards whilst ensuring financial and programme targets are met. Projects could vary from new build, replacement, refurbishment, or other associated transmission projects.

The successful candidate will initially be assigned to the EA1N / EA2 Offshore Wind Farm projects to act as the ONSS Civil Project Manager. EA1N and EA2 offshore wind farms are two separate offshore wind farms that will be built by SPR as part of the East Anglia Hub project. The successful candidate will manage a small inter-disciplinary team to develop the onshore substations for both projects from the Development stage through to energisation and handover, estimated to be in 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the integrated team to ensure the Civil packages are designed and delivered on time, to budget and quality following the highest industry practice and observing the maximum respect for Health, Safety and Environment to ensure the overall project success.
  • Direct responsibility for risk mitigation and delivery of the Civil packages within the portfolio of works.
  • Lead high performing team to deliver complex infrastructure projects with many interfaces and integration points, coordinating specific engineering outputs within construction plans to deliver fit for purpose solutions safely to time, quality and investment criteria.
  • Ensure through their team that all works are carried out in a Safe, high Quality and environmentally compliant manner, complying with all legal requirements and leading HSQE performance.
  • Directly responsible for site safety through development, creation and implementation of project specific safety plans and organisational arrangements.
  • Sound commercial contract management in FIDIC, NEC, ICE and be capable of developing specific terms and conditions.

Delivering the projects to the specification, programme and contract price in accordance with SPR procedures. As Principal Contractor ensure compliance with all Health, Safety.
