About the Role: Morson Talent is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a key national infrastructure organisation for a Lighting Engineer to join their Operational Delivery team based in Guildford. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in the management and improvement of lighting assets across the East and North West regions. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of feasibility studies and early-stage designs for street lighting, illuminated signage, and related electrical infrastructure, ensuring compliance with technical standards and driving innovation in design and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate asset data to identify needs and inform early solution development.
- Prepare briefs and support the delivery of survey works and inspections.
- Develop technical briefs for use by external design contractors.
- Design renewal and maintenance schemes for lighting and electrical assets.
- Ensure safety and wellbeing considerations are embedded throughout project planning and execution.
Requirements:
- Degree, HND or HNC in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Practical experience in highway construction and delivery.
- Experience in managing, inspecting, and designing electrical renewal schemes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and cable calculation software.
- Good understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points (essential for the role).
