We are supporting a large international listed organisation in the appointment of an Interim Senior Financial Reporting Manager to join a high performing Group Finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant to join a complex multinational environment, working closely with senior finance leadership and gaining exposure to external reporting, technical accounting, audit, treasury and strategic finance initiatives.
The Role
Reporting into senior Group Finance leadership, you will play a key role in the preparation of external financial reporting, statutory reporting and technical accounting activities across the Group. Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the preparation of Group financial statements and external reporting outputs.
- Preparation of annual and interim reporting requirements.
- Managing technical accounting matters including acquisition accounting, impairment reviews and complex accounting assessments.
- Ownership of key financial reporting controls and compliance activities.
- Supporting treasury related accounting matters and disclosures.
- Liaising with external auditors and coordinating audit deliverables.
- Drafting technical accounting papers and reporting updates for senior stakeholders.
- Preparing Audit Committee and Board-level papers.
- Supporting statutory accounts and head office reporting requirements.
- Working closely with Group Finance, Treasury, Tax and FP&A teams on a range of strategic initiatives.
About You
We are keen to speak with qualified accountants (ACA / ACCA) who can demonstrate:
- Strong UK statutory accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Excellent technical IFRS knowledge.
- Listed company reporting experience - ideally FTSE 250.
- Experience preparing financial statements within a large corporate or listed environment.
- Strong audit management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience producing technical accounting papers and Board level documentation.
- Exposure to US reporting requirements and/or SOX controls.
- Experience working across international teams and multiple jurisdictions.
- The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders.
Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting M&A activity, acquisition accounting or integration projects.
- Exposure to treasury accounting and hedge accounting.
- Experience within a regulated or highly controlled environment.
