We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our People & Development team at Hinkley Point C. This is a fast-paced and varied role supporting the smooth day-to-day running of HR and administrative operations within a growing Industrial Services team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting employee administration, onboarding, compliance, training coordination, and HR systems management, while providing wider administrative support across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Support the efficient day-to-day operation of the office, including handling incoming and outgoing HR absence calls.
- Process weekly starters and leavers, ensuring all records, documentation, and filing systems are accurately maintained.
- Prepare and manage HR documentation, including contracts of employment, new starter packs, right-to-work checks, and employee records.
- Maintain accurate employee E-files and HR systems throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Coordinate employee medicals in line with site requirements, including tracking and booking renewals to ensure compliance.
- Support the onboarding and security vetting process by liaising with candidates and processing required documentation.
- Assist with BPSS security clearance processes and site access requirements.
- Work closely with the Training & Onboarding team to schedule mandatory training for new starters.
- Attend meetings when required and accurately record and distribute meeting minutes and communications.
- Provide general administrative and secretarial support to Operations and on-site management teams.
- Maintain and update HR and attendance systems, including QuickBase.
- Record planned and unplanned absences daily within the time and attendance system.
- Ensure all employee data is processed accurately and confidentially.
- Previous experience in administration, ideally within HR or a people-focused environment.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience managing data entry and maintaining computerised systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undergo BPSS Security Clearance, including a full DBS check, in order to gain access to the site.
