Sheet Metal Workers are required for BAE Systems at Govan.
The key experience which is desirable for this role is ideally Shipbuilding or heavy industry background required.
What You ll be Doing
- Manufacturing and installing ventilation and furniture
- Working to engineering standards, striving for quality right first time
- Using a range of hand tools
- Hand skills required for manufacturing and installation purposes
- Understanding of manufacturing and installation drawings
Overview of site: There is a huge demand for Sheet Metal Workers and potential for overtime if you’re currently looking for work and hoping to build your experience within the shipbuilding industry, Govan is the place to be! There should be a lot of flexibility with work. day shift, night shift and weekend shifts.
A trade test will be required and you will need to pass in order to start on site, the trade test will include:
- Conducted at either Govan or Scotstoun Site
- Fault finding HVAC & Furniture
- Square round development
- Multiple choice trade specific questions
- You must pass this to continue your contract
Rates
£18.82 Std PAYE (Local) + shift uplifts
£26.82 Std PAYE (Non-Local) + shift uplifts
