Senior Safety Consultant – Preston

Permanent / Full Time – 39 Hours

Location: Preston, Lancashire, PR4 0XJ – Risley Warrington – Sellafield

Hybrid working arrangements, 2 days in the office 3 days working from home, (some travel will be necessary to support business needs)

Salary: £74,297

Morson Talent are working alongside United Kingdom National Nuclear Laboratory for enthusiastic, talented Senior Safety Consultants who are experienced in the production of radiological safety assessments to join their team in either Preston, Warrington or Sellafield.

The role is a permanent full-time position with hybrid working arrangements, 2 days in the office 3 days working from home, (some travel will be necessary to support business needs)

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Safety Consultant, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering expert radiological safety assessments across a variety of challenging and rewarding projects. You’ll act independently while leading and inspiring a team, ensuring the highest safety standards are met.

Essential Criteria for Senior Safety Consultant:

  1. Degree qualified or equivalent level of demonstrable technical capability.
  2. Extensive experience in production of Radiological safety assessments across a variety of projects.
  3. Excellent level of knowledge in the specialised field of Radiological safety assessment.
  4. Proven ability to act independently, under own initiative, while supervising other members of the team.
  5. Strong communication skills, including multi-site working.
  6. Excellent teamworking skills, with ability to inspire the work of a team.
  7. Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years’ worth of UK residency).

Desirable Criteria for Senior Safety Consultant:

  1. Detailed knowledge of advanced assessment techniques.
  2. Experienced in mentoring and developing technical skills.
  3. Preferably Chartered Membership of a professional institution.
  4. Excellent networking skills, maintaining network across the Radiological field nationally.
