We’re working with a Tier 1 contractor delivering major water infrastructure projects as part of AMP8. They’re expanding their pre-construction team and looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to join them on a remote basis.
What you’ll do:
- Develop bottom-up and top-down estimates for mechanical works (£5m–£250m projects)
- Review drawings, specs & scoping docs to build accurate cost models
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors
- Benchmark using cost curves and SORs
- Support pricing strategy, risk identification, and tender preparation
What you’ll need:
- Mechanical discipline background + estimating experience in the water sector
- Experience working on clean/wastewater or capital maintenance schemes
- Familiarity with NEC contracts & estimating tools (CCS Candy = bonus)
- Great commercial awareness + strong attention to detail
