The role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will manage the delivery of engineering and technical activities through the application of process, domain knowledge, and experience. This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and is based in Warrington, Cheshire. It provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. Day-to-day, you will assist in the effective management of the customer, including liaison and relationship development with existing and new customers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring procedures, codes, and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities.
  • Contributing to the Project Safety Assessment process.
  • Communicating and managing task and project risks appropriately.
  • Producing, reviewing, and approving calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation, and technical reports as assigned.

Essential experience of the Senior Mechanical Engineer:

  • Experience in working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams to deliver activities on a range of project types.
  • Demonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks across a range of complexities.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines.

Qualifications for the Senior Mechanical Engineer:

  • Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering, or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience.
  • Chartered Engineer status (or actively working toward Chartered Status).

Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
