Senior Engineer - Instrumentation

This role involves working in a multi-discipline team with several of our clients\’ engineers. All our engineers are supportive, team players and create a great working environment. The role will primarily support the lead engineer on a key energy project helping the UK to achieve Net Zero.

You will work collaboratively with the client and your responsibilities will include some or all of the following:

1. Instrument discipline technical input for projects and/or proposals including preparation, checking and/or approval of engineering documentation.
2. Ensuring all applicable national and international codes of practice, legislation and company/client standards and procedures are complied with.
3. Preparing equipment and materials requisitions for control systems, safety systems, analyser houses, field instrumentation and other instrument equipment.
4. Preparing installation scopes of work.
5. Reviewing supplier\’s quotations and preparing technical bid assessments.

More specific tasks could include:

1. Full life-cycle development of either control or protection systems.
2. Software qualification of SMART devices and PLCs.
3. Functional Safety related tasks.
4. C&I Ageing and Obsolescence Management.
