Scottish Power Energy Networks are looking for a Senior Engineer to join them on an ongoing contract basis.

Duration: 12 month initial contract with scope of extension

Location: Prenton/hybrid style working (flexible)

Rate: Inside IR35, PAYE and Umbrella options available

Hours: Full time Mon - Fri

PROFILE

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated 132kV Substation Layout Senior Engineer with a strong background with AIS substation layout design and HV switchgear. Excellent skills using AutoCAD and good communication skills to work well within a team. Knowledge of relevant National Standards such as ENA and NG Technical specifications to be able to apply these to achieve a substation design to SPEN specifications.

KEY SKILLS

  • Proficient at producing the following drawing types using their excellent AutoCAD skills:
    • 132kV Substation Layout Plans and Elevations
    • Electrical and Safety Clearance Drawings
    • Busbar Layouts and Busbar Clamp Schedules
    • Above and Below Ground Earthing Layouts and Detail Drawings
  • Good knowledge of all types of 132kV AIS equipment
  • Excellent 2D draughting skills using AutoCAD
