Job Title: Senior Detail Designer - Marine Location: Strathclyde, Glasgow City, Glasgow Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Marine Engineering Secondary Industry: Military and Defence Job Duties: Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for marine engineering projects Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure designs meet project requirements Conduct research and analysis to support design decisions Produce accurate technical documentation and reports Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements Required Qualifications: Degree in Marine Engineering or related field Proven experience in detail design within the marine industry Strong knowledge of CAD software and other design tools Excellent communication and teamwork skills Education: Degree in Marine Engineering or related field Experience: Proven experience in detail design within the marine industry Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Understanding of marine engineering principles and practises Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in Engineering Professional certification in design or engineering Working Conditions: Office-based work environment May require occasional travel to project sites Strict adherence to health and safety protocols
