As part of their in-house Capital Design team, you’ll help drive forward major investment plans (AMP8), working alongside over 300 dedicated professionals who care deeply about doing the right thing – for customers, the environment, and each other.
The Opportunity:
As a Senior Civil Design Engineer, you’ll play a central role in developing civil engineering designs from concept to completion. You’ll support the delivery of essential treatment and infrastructure projects and have the chance to shape innovative, sustainable solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead civil engineering design for water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects.
- Deliver designs that meet quality, cost, and time objectives.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support collaborative project teams.
- Champion innovation and explore forward-thinking engineering solutions.
- Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Chartered or working towards professional status (ICE, CIWEM, etc.).
- Experience in complex civil engineering projects – ideally in water/wastewater infrastructure.
- Familiarity with industry design standards and civil design software.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with excellent communication skills.
