Morson Talent is currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Road Line Marker to support ongoing projects at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth - one of the UK's most historic naval dockyards. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in line marking, a strong understanding of groundworks, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The role involves working outdoors in various environments, applying road and surface markings accurately and efficiently using specialised equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply a variety of road and surface markings using specialised machinery and materials.
- Interpret and follow road marking plans and layout specifications with accuracy.
- Prepare work surfaces appropriately for marking tasks.
- Operate and maintain line marking equipment safely and effectively.
- Work on roads, car parks, and other surfaces under varying weather conditions.
- Communicate effectively with clients, site managers, and team members.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards, wearing PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and equipment.
- Assist in other estates or groundwork-related tasks when required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential: Proven experience in road line marking.
Desirable: Full UK Driving Licence (not essential but preferred).
Security Requirements: Successful candidates must be eligible to undergo BPSS and SC Clearance.
Pay Rates
PAYE - £17.09 per hour
Umbrella - £21.64 per hour (Pre 12 weeks) & £22.12 per hour (Post 12 weeks) + Radius Allowance.
Work Arrangements
35 standard hours a week, 07:30 - 15:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 - 12:30 on a Friday, shift and overtime a possibility but not guaranteed.
6 month initial contract.
The successful candidate will need to achieve SC security clearance in order to fulfil this role.
