Procurement Engineer; Samlesbury: 6-month contract; £21.38 ph paye; Inside IR35 We currently have requirement for a Procurement Engineer working for a prestigious Aerospace client based near Preston . This is a full-time post with a hybrid working pattern with up to 3 days required on site. Principle duties Discharge Procurement Activities in accordance with the Procurement Handbook and other applicable processes. Manage the supplier to an optimum standard to ensure delivery schedule adherence and quality requirements are met as defined at supplier level. Manage order book reviews with internal stakeholders and the suppliers, presenting order status, supporting resolutions to order related queries as requested by the internal stakeholder: Maintain data in appropriate ERP systems - Utilise business reporting/metrication capability in order to articulate and manage Order Book Management performance. Ensure trends are identified and escalated, as appropriate. - Ensure queries are owned and managed effectively. Be accountable for the assessment of risks and issues related to any operational and/or contractual performance and the generation of effective resolution or sponsoring of escalation as appropriate. Ensure the applicable Terms, Conditions, Legislative flow downs and all other contractual requirements are effectively established and managed with your suppliers. Prioritise activities for and provide guidance to the team to maximise efficiency. Complete all training as identified and required for your role Key Responsibility Areas The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following: Manage the end-to-end ordering process for complex orderbooks looking at production and in-service programs across 3 order books and multiple suppliers including: - Timely order placement Order book management Expedition of goods receipts and resolving goods receipt issues – Ensure timely payment of invoices Order closure Build and maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers. Build and maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships reporting to Customer Relationship Management and Supply Chain teams on the progress of PO’s and expected delivery information and expected delivery information. Attend key meetings including on-site supplier reviews Essential / Desirable skills Essential Experience in Operational Procurement, including sourcing, supplier due diligence, order book management, and continuous improvement Proficiency in Supplier Management, encompassing cost management, risk and opportunity management, supplier relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability Experience with ERP systems (LN, IFS & EMS in particular), including experience with PO creation, maintenance, expedite, and invoicing Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel Desirable: CIPS, or relevant business experience in supply chain or a related area • Experience working in Aerospace or Defence industry Morson is acting an employment business in relation to this vacancy
