Our client BAE Systems are recruiting Production Operators to play a crucial role in various areas on the shop floor at their Washington site. This position involves operating a diverse array of equipment, from machinery to mobile work tools, and involves manual handling in alignment with set Standard Operating Procedures, quality standards, and comprehensive risk assessments.
The role is focussed specifically on following the Manufacturing instructions & following the guidance of the Cell Leader.
Role Responsibilities
• Ensure all site safety rules are adhered too.
• Ensure processes are operated in a safe manner by adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and risk assessments.
• Carry out all gauging and measurement as required on the job.
• Highlight all concerns to the Team Co-ordinator and quality department.
• Ensure that work undertaken adheres to relevant quality standards.
• Support the day-to-day requirement of meeting shift delivery targets.
• Engage and carry out tasks required as a general operator.
• Follow the training advice of the ME and ensure you follow your SOP.
Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Qualification Requirements

• Experience in working in a manufacturing / production environment.
• A good communicator, with the ability to confidently articulate the status of an area/process.

Pay rates:
Standard shift (07:30-16:30) – £16.82p/hr
Two-Shift (06:00-14:00/14:00-22:00 swap weekly) – £20.69p/hr
Night shift (22:00-06:00) – £21.03p/hr
Continental Shifts (4 on, 4 off. 6-6, 7-7) – £23.55p/hr
*Shift patterns are selected by the client. To apply you must be available for all shifts.
**All pay rates are advertised as a PAYE rate.
