Job Description
Our client is seeking a contracor for a Principal Engineer – Support Engineering (Maint Design RCM) position. This is an RCM Analysis role.
You will be the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the delivery and assurance of Maintenance Derivation and Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) outputs.
You will be responsible for, or provide input to, the following activities:
- Deliver RCM studies, Operating Contexts and post-analysis reports to agreed scope, quality and timescales, and in accordance with DEFSTAN 00-045 and BR1313A methodology.
- Deliver fully populated and validated Toolkit (TLK) files to the MoD.
- Derive appropriate maintenance schedules using RCM techniques.
- Conduct Methodology Audits of RCM analyses prior to formal delivery to MoD.
- Attend Maintenance Review & Approval Boards (MRABs) to undertake reviews of derived RCM maintenance.
- Provide appropriate RCM knowledge and input for Engineering Design Reviews.
- Initiate amendments to maintenance resulting from design change.
- Conduct periodic quality assurance checks of Maintenance Task Instructions (MTI) and initiate appropriate rectification activity/actions.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the RCM engineering team.
Proven Ability / Key Skills
- Extensive level of domain knowledge over the full range of RCM activities and how they relate to ILS and Safety.
- The individual will have a clear and demonstrable understanding of the relevant Ministry of Defence (MoD), industry and corporate standards that cover Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) activities.
- Extensive knowledge of the MoD Unit Maintenance Management System (UMMS) and Trilogy tool sets.
- Knowledge of the principles of Availability, Reliability & Maintainability (AR&M).
- Knowledge of the complete engineering lifecycle and how support activities align to it, with some knowledge of operating in a number of lifecycle phases.
