As a P6 Planner, you will play a pivotal role in managing planning and schedule management activities within the corporate planning tool, ensuring a true representation of the Capital Delivery Programme is established and maintained. Your responsibilities will encompass both briefed and unbriefed schemes, from concept and initial studies through full funding and project initiation to benefits realisation and closure. You will ensure visibility and alignment with the client's business plan and Performance Commitments, acting as an expert adviser to provide support and training to maintain agreed minimum standards and enhance data quality for upwards reporting. Collaboration with Programme Planners in the Programme Management team is essential to ensure alignment of overall AMP7 delivery and to address or escalate issues appropriately.

Skills:

  • Significant experience in applied programme delivery planning.
  • Membership of a recognised body (e.g. APM/Practitioner MSP/Prince2/P3O/PPSO/ITIL).
  • Hands-on delivery planning experience using various planning tools, including Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong team management and communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to drive commitments and improvements to meet commercial and technical objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Data analysis and presentation skills for senior teams.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Programme Management teams.
  • Ideally, experience in the water sector.
