Marshalls Land Systems is seeking Skilled Electrical Installers to manufacture and install electrical circuits and communication systems into mobile workspaces and various electrical products and equipment at their new site in Merthyr Tydfil (CF48 4DR). £17.17 per hour (standard rate, with uplift for overtime). 40 hours a week.

The role is responsible for the installation of cabling, wiring, and electro-mechanical components into deployable shelters, under the supervision of a Red Seal Industrial Electrician.

Duties:
  • Assemble and install electrical components into deployable shelters using engineering drawings and associated design data.
  • Read schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures.
  • Operate standard equipment, including but not limited to various testing tools.
  • Assemble and install component pieces using hand and power tools.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety, and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the creation of job instructions and operating procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor – Components & Assembly.
Employment Requirements:
  • Baseline level (BPSS) clearance or eligibility for this level of clearance.
  • Qualification in BS7671 17th/18th edition Requirements for Electrical Installations (must be willing to upgrade from 17th to 18th if already held; training will be provided if not held).
  • Minimum three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Availability to work overtime as required.
  • NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • City & Guilds 2365 Level 2/3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Building & Structures, or equivalent electrical qualification).
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban and SMED preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Excel/Word, Outlook.
