Role Objective: The servicing and repair of the company fleet including cars, light and heavy commercial vehicles and mobile plant.
Key Accountabilities:
- Service and maintain a diverse range of company vehicles and plant to a high standard, ensuring STW and manufacturer guidelines are followed.
- Attend to unscheduled maintenance and emergency work as required.
- Ensure a safe working environment and behaviours at all times.
- Prepare and present company vehicles for annual testing to required standards, ensuring STW target pass rates are achieved.
- Customer focused, working productively to minimise vehicle downtime.
- Inputting all key job information daily into a fleet management system.
- Deputise and support the Workshop Manager in their absence, attending meetings, carrying out system related work allocation, ordering, reporting.
- Attend training courses in order to improve skill and knowledge.
Experience:
In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have:
- Essential: Experience of Fleet Maintenance.
- Basic computer skills.
- Desirable: Previous experience of working on various makes and models of commercial vehicles, cars and mobile plant including agricultural and construction.
- Experience maintaining auxiliary equipment e.g. cranes, compressors, generators, vacuum and displacement pumps etc.
Qualifications:
Essential: City and guilds or NVQ level 3 in motor vehicle repair. Driving licence preferably to LGV C + E category.
Desirable: H&S qualification (e.g. IOSH).
