Join Our Client’s Technical Team! Are you an experienced Material Controller with a passion for aviation and a knack for logistics? Our client is looking for a dedicated individual to support their Technical Supply Chain Manager in managing the procurement and logistics for their growing fleet, including the B747-400. Based at their Hampton Wick Head Office, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring maintenance teams receive the required materials efficiently, while supporting the 24-hour Maintenance Control Centre.
Salary: Up to £44K per year
Location: Hampton Wick (Hybrid)
What you’ll do:
- Procure and document aircraft and non-aircraft related materials in line with company policies and regulations.
- Manage AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations swiftly and effectively.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure the best value and monitor Purchase Orders.
- Assist in developing service contracts, maintenance support programs, and refining demand forecasts.
- Coordinate with internal teams to manage inventory levels and handle shipping logistics.
- Ensure customs compliance and manage freight forwarding for global shipments.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and provide excellent customer account management.
What you’ll bring:
- At least 3 years of experience in Procurement, preferably within the aviation sector.
- Knowledge of spare parts processes, cost estimating, and aviation terminology.
- Experience with AMOS or similar Maintenance Management Systems is advantageous.
- Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Proven ability to build relationships, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
