An established and globally recognised organisation is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to take a leading role in shaping and governing the cloud based data platforms that power footballing insight and decision making. This is a fully onsite position, working closely with high performance teams in a fast moving, elite environment.

The Role: You’ll be responsible for designing, provisioning and managing the club's football data cloud estate, ensuring platforms are secure, scalable and built to support advanced analytics. This role blends deep Azure expertise with strong governance, automation and platform engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the architecture, provisioning and lifecycle management of the football data cloud estate
  • Lead Azure cloud infrastructure and network design, ensuring security, scalability and cost efficiency
  • Manage identity, authentication and access governance using Microsoft Entra
  • Define and promote CI/CD best practices and deployment automation
  • Identify platform risks, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
  • Produce clear documentation and architectural guidance for engineering teams

What You'll Bring:

  • Extensive hands on experience designing and operating production Azure platforms
  • Strong Infrastructure as Code skills (Terraform preferred)
  • Proven ownership of cloud provisioning, governance and lifecycle management
  • Expertise in identity and access management
  • Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Experience with Databricks and modern cloud based data platforms
  • Advanced CI/CD and Git based workflow knowledge
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
