You do not need to have spent your whole career in data centres for this to be relevant. If you are already leading complex electrical, MEP, CSA or technical infrastructure packages for a specialist contractor, this could be the step from running major projects into owning wider operations.
Morson Edge is working exclusively with an established critical infrastructure specialist operating across the UK and Europe. The role is Manchester based and sits close to delivery. You will work directly with the Director of Operations, leading project teams and taking ownership of package performance, programme pressure, commercial control, design coordination, procurement, commissioning and handover.
This is likely to suit someone from a:
- Electrical contractor
- MEP contractor
- Specialist subcontractor
- Building services contractor
- Critical power business
- Technical fit-out contractor
- CSA contractor
- Critical infrastructure environment
Data centre experience would be useful, but it is not essential. What matters is that you understand complex project delivery and can keep control of safety, programme, cost, quality, client communication and site performance.
You will need:
- ~10+ years in construction operations, contracts management or senior project delivery
- ~ Strong electrical, MEP, CSA or technical infrastructure delivery experience
- ~ Background with a subcontractor, specialist contractor or technical delivery business
- ~ Confidence managing site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and package performance
- ~ Strong programme control, reporting and mitigation planning experience
- ~ Commercial awareness, including cost reporting and monthly project reviews
- ~ Knowledge of NEC, JCT or FIDIC contract environments
- ~ SMSTS, CSCS and relevant health and safety qualification
This is a senior operations role with direct access to leadership, strong technical support around you and real ownership across complex critical infrastructure projects.
