Contract Type: 12-Month Contract
Rate: £18.75 per hour PAYE / £25.06 per hour Umbrella
Working hours: 37 hours a week - Mon-Fri 07:30-4:30 or around core hours
The Opportunity
Morson Edge is recruiting for an AGE Driver to join a busy military aviation support programme based at RAF Lossiemouth. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a high-performing logistics team, supporting the movement of Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE), Test, Measurement & Equipment Calibration (TMEC), and Role Equipment across the station. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring engineering and maintenance teams have the equipment they need to keep aircraft operational.
Working within a highly regulated military aviation environment, you'll help maintain the efficient flow of equipment while ensuring compliance with defence logistics and airworthiness requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE), TMEC, and Role Equipment safely across the station
- Deliver equipment in line with operational priorities and maintenance schedules
- Support aircraft maintenance teams by ensuring equipment is available when required
- Coordinate with engineering teams, forward squadrons, support bays, and other onsite departments
- Maintain accurate transport records and equipment databases
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with Military Aviation Authority (MAA) Part 145 requirements and the Defence Logistics Framework
- Maintain high standards of equipment accountability, safety, and security
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics function
- Carry out additional logistics duties as required to support operational delivery
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a logistics, warehouse, stores, or transport environment
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- IT literate with experience maintaining electronic records and databases
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
- Ability to work effectively within a safety‑critical and regulated environment
Security Requirements
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.
