A global defence technology organisation delivering advanced maritime and underwater systems to allied navies worldwide. Its specialist solutions support surface, sub-surface, and unmanned platforms, helping customers maintain operational advantage in an evolving maritime environment.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Team Leader will supervise a production section, managing people, materials, and processes to meet daily output, quality, cost, and safety targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead production activities from material receipt through assembly, test, and delivery
  • Supervise and support Production Operators, including hands-on assembly and testing when required
  • Ensure work is completed to defined procedures, standards, and quality requirements (IPC-A-610)
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage non-conformances, material shortages, and supplier returns using the ERP system
  • Lead daily team (Tier 1) meetings and escalate issues as required
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, ESD, and FOD requirements
  • Train, coach, and develop team members
  • Deputise for the Production Manager when needed
About You
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment (essential)
  • Previous team leadership or supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Confident using ERP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communicator with a methodical, detail-focused approach
  • Able to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
