Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Team Leader will supervise a production section, managing people, materials, and processes to meet daily output, quality, cost, and safety targets.
Key Responsibilities- Lead production activities from material receipt through assembly, test, and delivery
- Supervise and support Production Operators, including hands-on assembly and testing when required
- Ensure work is completed to defined procedures, standards, and quality requirements (IPC-A-610)
- Monitor performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement
- Manage non-conformances, material shortages, and supplier returns using the ERP system
- Lead daily team (Tier 1) meetings and escalate issues as required
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, ESD, and FOD requirements
- Train, coach, and develop team members
- Deputise for the Production Manager when needed
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment (essential)
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience (preferred)
- Confident using ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong communicator with a methodical, detail-focused approach
- Able to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
- Optional 9-day fortnight
