Overview
We are currently recruiting Dual Skilled Electrical & Mechanical Engineers on a long-term contract basis for a leading client within the rail rolling stock industry, based in Manchester. These roles sit within the maintenance team and offer the opportunity to work either day shifts or a rotating shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on rail rolling stock
- Fault finding and diagnosis on electrical and mechanical systems
- Perform inspections, repairs, overhauls, and component changes
- Ensure all work is completed in line with safety, quality, and industry standards
- Accurately complete maintenance documentation and reports
- Work collaboratively within a depot-based maintenance team
Essential Requirements
- Qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical qualification preferred; however, strong mechanical backgrounds will be considered
- Experience in a maintenance or engineering environment
- Ability to fault-find and work across electrical and mechanical systems
- Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
Desirable Experience
- Previous rail or rolling stock experience
- Experience working within a regulated or safety-critical environment
