The Opportunity

We’re looking for a motivated Bid Writer to join our growing Bid & Proposals team in Manchester. This is an ideal step for someone currently working as a Bid Coordinator ready to develop writing skills, or a Graduate/Junior Bid Writer looking to take on more responsibility and ownership. Reporting to the Bid & Proposal Lead, you’ll support the creation of high-quality, persuasive tender responses across a variety of sectors — from recruitment and engineering to infrastructure and professional services.

Why This Role?

  • Step up from coordination to content creation.
  • Gain hands-on experience across the full bid lifecycle.
  • Work on bids in multiple sectors, building a broad skill set.
  • Receive mentoring and support in a collaborative team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Write and Develop Content: Draft clear, engaging responses that showcase Morson’s strengths and align with client requirements.
  • Work with SMEs: Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical and service information for use in responses.
  • Support Bid Management: Assist in planning, coordinating and tracking submissions, working closely with the wider bid team.
  • Ensure Quality and Consistency: Edit and refine content to ensure it aligns with our brand tone and messaging.
  • Learn and Grow: Build your skills across writing, editing, compliance, and strategy in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a Bid Coordinator, Junior Bid Writer, or graduate-level role within bids, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills — you enjoy turning complex information into compelling narratives.
  • Great organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively with different stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with tendering or procurement processes (desirable but not essential).
  • A proactive mindset and a desire to grow within a successful, supportive team.

What We Offer

  • A clear development path to a more senior bid writing or bid management role.
  • Flexible/hybrid working from our Manchester HQ.
  • Exposure to high-profile clients and strategic business opportunities.
  • A collaborative team culture where ideas and development are encouraged.
  • Recognition as part of one of the UK’s leading recruitment organisations.

Ready to take the next step in your bid career? We’d love to hear from you.
