Job Title: Category Manager – Technology & Professional Services
Location: Manchester (hybrid) 2-3 days office based
Day rate: GBP500-GBP550 per day inside IR35 via umbrella
Duration: 12 month contract

Our client is a leading UK-based airport operator that manages multiple airports across the country. It has a diverse portfolio that includes airport management, aviation services, and other related businesses.
With a commitment to sustainable growth, it continuously invests in infrastructure, technology, and environmental initiatives to enhance operational excellence and contribute to the aviation industrys development.
Key Responsibilities:
The role holder will lead Procurement and Contracts delivery across a range of projects and spend categories, supporting multiple departments and airports within the Group. The primary focus will be on the Technology and Professional Services supply chain, managing both CAPEX and OPEX to ensure value for money for the business.
Develop, implement, and manage procurement strategies that align with the organisation\’s objectives, values, and long-term goals, while driving best value through collaborative engagement across the Group to maximise business benefits.
Manage the procurement of third-party goods, works, and services to support the delivery of Group Business Services, overseeing frameworks with forecasted spend of up to approximately GBP30 million.
Knowledge, Experience & Key Skills:
Prior experience working within the public sector and or utilities sector is essential.
Strong indirect procurement experience is essential. Experienced gained working across Professional Services & Technology categories would be advantageous.
Excellent Stakeholder and Supplier Relationship Management Skills is essential.
MCIPS qualified or working towards.
