Information Services Manager Contract – 12 months + Location – London, Hybrid Our client is able to achieve powerful results by connecting unparalleled data, analytics, innovative technologies like Healthcare-grade AI, and deep healthcare and scientific expertise. This enables a highly customized approach to address unique challenges. Job Overview Manage day-to-day operations of the Information Services department to ensure that company information needs are met in a timely, efficient and high-quality manner Essential Functions • Manage staff in accordance with organization´s policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work: appraising performance and guiding professional development rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing employees relations issues and resolving problems. Approve actions on human resources matter • Consult with clients (internal&external) to discuss informational needs so client can make informed business decisions • Perform advanced searches and research to complete literature of information request by using subject matter and information technology expertise to search an extensive range of bibliographic/full text database • Negotiate contracts and timeliness with all levels of client & suppliers • Participate in cross-site and cross functional projects • Effectively market department services across company sites as well as local departments. Review services at department meetings. Work with sales staff and business connections to market services externally when appropriate • Track group expenses. Escalate deviations from projected budget • Evaluate, recommend and implement new end user products • Maintain awareness of company business objectives and ensure services provided continue to support these objectives • Evaluate business new services on an ongoing basis to ensure recipients continue to be informed of significant business and commercial activities with specific interest areas • Train and mentor new staff members within groups Qualifications • Bachelors Degree Advanced degree in biomedical or life science required 3 years relevant experience including supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
